Firstly I would like to start by saying a very Happy New year to you all. I hope you had a wonderful time over the holidays and enjoyed yourselves far too much!
Personally I spent it scoffing my face with mince pies, cheese and drinking far too much Baileys. My boyfriend even made a comment on how much Baileys I actually consumed, I assured him this was the reason I only brought Baileys over the festive period or I would end up the size of a house if I had it on a regular basis as I cannot say no.
I am aware I haven’t been on here in a while, hence why this post is titled ‘Goals of 2018’. But reason being is the back end of 2017 was really hard work, I just couldn’t get to grip with the twins and finding any sort of routine, also trying to write content for this blog. So, I thought what a perfect way to get back in the swing on things by starting my first blog of 2018 with my goals for the year.
Every year I write down my goals for the year as I am a firm believer that if you write down your goals you are more likely to achieve them, well…. 99.9%. This year I went on a New years day walk with a friend and found it a perfect time to reflect on the future of 2018 and exciting things to come.
So without further ado…..
My top goal for the year is to see my grandparents more. I am so lucky to have my grandparents around and I really need to cherish that, especially with the babies I think it is really important for them to spend time with there great grandparents. I mean how many kids can say they have 3 great grandparents?!?
Secondly is too get the babies to sleep through the night. The babies are three months now and whilst I’m not expecting it too happen over the next week, I do hope by the end of the year they are managing to sleep the whole night consistently without waking. The bags under my eyes would definitely appreciate it.
Now, number three might be quite controversial as whilst I am super happy with my post baby body I would love to get back to where I was pre-pregnancy. Ideally I would like to lose a more of the baby weight, but I wanted to be realistic in my goals and not set unachievable ones. There is nothing more deflating than not hitting you goal in my mind, I certainly don’t want to set myself up for a fail.
Before I fell pregnant I was a keen runner and running is something I have really missed. Last October I completed a 10 mile run and if I could work towards that this year and aim to complete it I would be extremely happy. Even if I had to walk the majority of it.
Last but by no means least is to spend more quality time with my little family. My partner works really long hours during the week and gets home when the babies are in bed and leaves before the babies get up, so this year I really want to home in on the whole family thing. Like walks in the park, breakfasts, things we can all enjoy together.
So there we have it folks my goals of 2018 laid bare.
I hope you enjoyed reading.
Lots of Love
